These mega financial institutions have invested hundreds of billions of dollars in recent years in the fossil fuel industry. They are funding the 6th mass extinction. We respond with protest; peaceful, mindful community gatherings where we connect, chat, hold signs, meditate, and acknowledge indigenous suffering and land ethics. Join us!

Climate justice activism is hard work. It can take a toll on our body-mind-spirit, chipping away at our resilience. Sharing and connecting with others in a listening circle is an antidote for this toll. XR NYC’s Regenerative Culture working group is offering monthly in-person listening circles to provide a community space where rebels can share and witness what is alive for them in the moment.
What is Extinction Rebellion? What are our demands? What is the 2024 strategy to achieve those? How can you get involved? Register here to find out.
The climate and ecological emergency is a trauma inflicted on all beings by white supremacy. Our demand for a just transition starts with how we show up in our organizing. As important as an intellectual understanding of racism and the desire to be anti-racist is, these alone will not address the habitual embodiment of racism. In this weekly circle we learn ways to heal from trauma and to unlearn embodied, racialized behaviors.
Join our artbuild for spring and summer actions!

A People’s Intervention

Extinction Rebels will workshop an intervention in a famous scene in Ibsen's notorious drama.

The American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) knows that if we don’t do something soon, humanity itself will become a museum exhibit. AMNH researchers know that the Museums’ measures are ineffective and performative. Yet the only mention of climate chaos in the entire museum is hidden in a dark corner. The emergency we currently face calls for much more than this.

Join us for a community gathering and fundraiser to support our friends facing repression. Our own Degas 2, the protestors of Stop Cop City, and many others are being threatened with disproportionate sentences for defending planet earth. We will have two great speakers for a panel and discussion: Kamau Franklin of Community Builders, Atlanta-Stop Cop City and Steve Donziger of the Anti-Chevron case.

Fossil fuels kill, and Wall Street keeps pouring money into Big Oil year after year. As long as they fund new fossil fuel projects, we're doomed. That’s why, we’re taking disruptive, nonviolent action to demand Wall Street stops fuelling the climate crisis. Will you join us?

FFFNYC will be striking from school and organizing a march to demand #EndFossilFuels in solidarity with FFF local groups around the world. In the United States, we will be focusing on calling on Biden to declare a Climate Emergency and use emergency powers to facilitate the equitable fossil fuel phase we need ASAP. Our strike will be three days before Earth Day (Monday the 22nd), and our strike will be part of a larger arc of youth led actions across the country calling for these demands.

Join us in front of the IRS (at 290 Broadway and Duane St. in lower Manhattan) this "Tax Day" as we demonstrate against the 45% of Federal Funds that President Biden has just asked Congress to spend on the military for wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Niger, Somalia, and other countries INCLUDING military aid for the endless war in UKRAINE and funding Israel's genocidal war in GAZA and brutal attacks against Palestinians.
We keep going back to the American Museum of Natural History every month for our Tell The Truth campaign. How do we do it? Come join us at Union Square for some action training.

As Israel continues its campaign to destroy the earth’s capacity to sustain life in Gaza, the movements for climate justice and Palestinian liberation will unite to call for an end to the colonization of our planet for extraction and exploitation.
Spring Rebellion is upon us. It is now all hands on deck. Come to the studio to work on a banner for the streets!
