Kayleigh Thomas

Kayleigh Thomas joined the 22News team in March of 2022 as a digital reporter. Before joining WWLP, Kayleigh received her bachelor’s degree in communications with a focus in journalism and media and a minor in English at Western New England University. Kayleigh reported for the university’s newspaper, the Westerner, and served as the news editor.

In an advanced radio reporting course she took, she worked with WAMC, Northeast Public Radio to produce radio reports. A report she recorded, Speaker Sisterhood, received third place honors at Western New England’s 17th Annual Media Festival. The report focused on a group of women who awakened their voices through the practice of public speaking.

Additionally, Kayleigh interned at Western Mass Women Magazine which focused on informing local women about health, lifestyle, and education-related stories.

Kayleigh was also a correspondent at Turley Publications and Reminder Publications where she covered stories on local school committee and town meetings and events of public concern or interest.

Kayleigh is a NASM certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. She grew up dancing and took part in dance competitions across Massachusetts.
