Dee Ann Keene has been missing for one year, and her family is still no closer to finding out what happened to her on February 28, 2014.

“I miss her laughing and joking and cursing, yea a lot of that. But she was full of life, Dee Ann was,” said her mother Anna Keene.

State Police have said Keene was last seen in Renick with Ron McMillion, one of the stars of the television series Appalachian Outlaws. Police have yet to find Keene, and her mother says the not knowing is what hurts the most.

“If we could just find her. Where is she? What happened to her? Nothing. No leads at all.”

Anna Keene has a year of unanswered questions. She said she knows there’s someone out there who knows what happened to her daughter and all she wants to know is where she is.

“Please come forward and give us some peace so we can have some closure. Please do that just for us. For her family, for her and her family. Dee Ann wouldn’t harm a hair nobody’s head.”

Keene said for an entire year, she’s been living a mother’s worst nightmare.

“I can’t imagine, I can’t imagine how anyone could have hurt her, as tiny as she was. If someone would just say hey I know where she is and take the police, they would go. If they had to climb mountain 10 miles high they would go.”

Last September, State Police offered $10,000 reward for whoever could lead them to Keene. Anna Keene said she knows Dee Ann loved her family, and would never willingly disappear. She believes her daughter was murdered.
