YETI and the Wild Sheep Foundation are pleased to present WILD SHEEP, a spectacularly illustrated book on an iconic species, the unspoiled high countries they live in, and the men and women captivated by their existence.

WILD SHEEP captures the essence of what is affectionately known as Sheep Fever. It is a celebration of everything wild sheep that began at the 2020 Sheep Show® in Reno, Nevada. Our longtime conservation partners at YETI commissioned executive producer Adam Foss to comb the Show for the personalities, authors, illustrators, and photographers that best represented today’s wild sheep culture and family. The result is a text on wild sheep that is a page-turning journey into a lifestyle that many live, but few can explain.

Thanks to YETI, WILD SHEEP is more than a collector’s item; it’s also a new financial resource for the Wild Sheep Foundation and our efforts in Putting and Keeping Wild Sheep on the Mountain.® One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of these 250 limited, deluxe editions will go toward WSF and this purpose.

Deluxe, limited editions are hardbound, and feature 156 color pages fully illustrated with original art and stunning photography, wrapped in a handsome hardcover slipcase.

A Golden Ticket and a 1:250 Chance to Win a Yukon Sheep Hunt

One lucky WILD SHEEP Book “Golden Ticket” holder will win a 10-day Yukon hunt for either a Dall’s or Fannin sheep in 2022 with Midnight Sun Outfitting Ltd.

WSF has long supported creating an opportunity to introduce more people to the ranks of sheep hunter. To this end we have inserted a numbered “Golden Ticket” into each of the 250 deluxe limited editions. The winning Golden Ticket for the Yukon sheep hunt will be drawn and broadcast LIVE online on January 14, 2021, during WSF's Sheep Week® The Experience virtual convention.

Midnight Sun Outfitting is one of the few outfitters in the High North to offer both Dall and Fannin sheep hunts.

Our sheep hunts are carried out in the most immersive, exciting traditional forms: horseback, backpack, and down several different river channels by raft. We work hard to manage our sheep populations and believe in taking only top quality, fully aged trophies. The quality of rams taken has been our secret to success as we consistently harvest sheep averaging ten and a half years or older. In our concession, Midnight Sun guides have also harvested some of the biggest sheep in the world.

Midnight Sun Outfitting is concession #4, which is the second-largest hunting area in the Yukon spanning an unbelievable 12,000 square miles. Our concession is in the heart of the conservation-protected Peel River Watershed and encompasses the famous Hart and Wind River Drainages. Hunting in the magnificent Wernecke and Ogilvie mountains is one of the last ways to immerse in the untouched world on a massive scale. In a landscape that constantly rewards hunters with unbelievable scenery and biodiversity, there are no limits on hunting potential. Our hunts are life-changing experiences for guides and guests alike.

The Young family has been invested supporters of the Wild Sheep Foundation through the generations, having donated and assisted for over 30 years.
