My 8th grader enjoyed the field trip to Washington, DC. He mostly enjoyed the time with his friends while seeing the sights. The hotel was dirty and not somewhere my child would ever wish to stay again. The food allowance was $15 for lunch and $20 for dinner. My child said the food was expensive and he didn’t have enough money to purchase a complete meal; therefore, he came home hungry and wanting to eat. The buses left on time for departure. On the return trip one bus broke down and caused a delay getting home. Overall, the kids were kept to a time schedule and saw lots of DC in three days. I’m grateful he was able to go on this overnight field trip.

Good trip for 8th graders to visit Washington DC. However it was very disappointing to the kids that they didn’t even drive past the White House or get up close to the Capital. And the hotel was disgusting. Eating at Union Station at rush hour is not a good option to manage hundreds of kids.

My daughter had a good time see the sights in DC! But her hotel room was very dirty. There was a wet stain on her bed. The toilet didn’t work and the tub was dirty. She had to use bottle water to brush her teeth bc the water out of the faucet was brown. The only place she enjoyed her food was at the home place for George Washington.

My kid had a wonderful time! She liked the bus journey and as well as the hotel accommodations. Overall it was a very nice experience! Thank You.

Good things: lots of destinations, well-planned itinerary Improvements: room was dingy/dirty and food options were extremely slim— especially for a vegetarian -my daughter went hungry for a couple of meals..

Thank you for your review and I will address the situation with the hotel and restaurants. I am so sorry your daughter's meals were not acceptable and accept our apology. We have to rely on our vendors to supply special meals request and if they aren't met we are not happy either. We will notify the hotel of your comment and expect them to do better or we will not be using them on any of our school trips.
