HONOLULU, Nov. 10, 2022
More than 100 injured U.S. military family members and civilians filed new federal-court claims against the Navy over the catastrophic contamination of the water supply near the Red Hill fuel storage facility in Hawai’i in 2021.
The case is Patrick Feindt, Jr., et al., v. The United States of America, Case No. 1:22-cv-0039, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawai’i.

Kristina Baehr
Kristina Baehr is a national trial lawyer who represents sick families against the companies and governments that made them sick. After Princeton and Yale Law, she worked her way up the ranks to partner at a national trial firm. Their teams represented clients against big pharma and tech companies in state, federal and international courts, and their victories led to over $1 billion in revenue for their clients. She then transitioned to the US Attorneys’ Office, where she represented federal agencies like the Army, Air Force, and VA in personal injury cases like this one. And when her own family experienced toxic exposure, she left the Department of Justice to build the personal injury firm she couldn’t find.
James Baehr
James Baehr is a trial lawyer and Veterans’ advocate who has spent his career fighting for servicemembers and their families. As a Marine Corps Judge Advocate General, Baehr represented over 200 servicemembers in court-martial proceedings, presentencing trials, and administrative boards. After active duty, Baehr served as a federal prosecutor at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Orleans, prosecuting over 100 defendants for felony level violations in the Eastern District of Louisiana. A Major in the Reserves, Baehr deployed to Iraq for Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve in 2018. Thereafter, he served in the White House as a Special Assistant to the President, working as the President’s lead adviser on Veterans’ and servicemember policy, including toxic exposure benefits issues. Today, he fights for servicemembers and their families in courts around the country.
Lyle Hosoda
Lyle Hosoda is one of Hawaii’s best trial lawyers and President and CEO of Hosoda Law Group. He has represented companies and individuals in complex civil litigation for over 35 years. He has litigated personal injury claims in and around aircraft and airports, fuel contamination damages, and aircraft and helicopter crashes. Mr. Hosoda has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a top litigation attorney in Honolulu every year since 2013.
