PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Portsmouth Police are looking for a woman who faces a pair of first-degree murder charges, along with others, in connection to a shooting Sunday morning in the 260 block of Dale Drive in which two people were shot and killed, police said.

Detectives are looking for 27-year-old Akea M. Faison, who has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder (principal second), conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit aggravated murder, conspiracy to commit robbery resulting in death, robbery resulting in death (principal second) and three counts of use of a firearm while committing a felony.

She had previously been considered a person of interest in reference to this homicide. She also has warrants for her arrest out of Henrico County for possession of a controlled substance.

On March 5, around 7:42 a.m. police responded to the 260 block of Dale Drive in reference to a shooting, and when officers arrived, they found two men – one was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was sent to the hospital and was in critical condition, though that person died Monday from his injuries, Portsmouth Police confirmed.

The victims have been identified as 28-year-old Carlos Cordova and 22-year-old Carlos Castro-Murillo.

Police are also looking for an unidentified man in the photos below who was seen driving an early to mid-2000s white ES Class Lexus.

Portsmouth Police Department is having a R.E.S.E.T. walk on March 9 at 3:30 p.m. in response to this homicide.

In court documents obtained by 10 On Your Side, police say interviewed a witness who says she and Akea M. Faison met the victims at a bar in Norfolk.

The group then went back to Dale Drive and “engaged in drinking and narcotics use.” The witness told police that the shooting occurred while she was asleep.

Police reviewed nearby surveillance cameras which showed the unknown suspect going into the back door of the residence. The suspect is also seen leaving the backdoor while Faison left through the front door.
