The Warren County Sheriff's Department is a small community oriented law enforcement agency set out to serve the citizens of Warren County. Along with the staffing and maintenance of the county jail, courtroom security, and school resource officers, the Sheriff's Department is responsible for the service of warrants, civil process, and the policing of the community itself. It is the goal of the Warren County Sheriff's Department through pro-active policing to provide a safe, drug free environment for its people.

The Warren County Sheriff's Department has taken a pro-active stance on the fight against drugs. With the ever growing increase of methamphetamine use, the Sheriff's Department has to constantly stay on top of the common trends used. As a member of the Tennessee Methamphetamine Laboratories Seizures in the the State of Tennessee, the department has eight certified lab techs trained in the seizures of methamphetamine labs and its dangers.

Another method of trying to stay ahead of the growing drug trends is the outreach and education of the youth through our D.A.R.E. program. Since it's inception in 1990 the Warren County D.A.R.E. program has taught over 12,000 students, not to include public talks to various grade levels. It is believed that through the proper instruction and mentoring, troubled youth that are highly susceptible to drug activity are shown other avenues and possibilities available to them. The lives of the youth of Warren County are the main priority of the officers at the Sheriff's Department.
