Christopher Own, PhD

Dr. Own has over two decades experience in electron microscopy (EM) and EM instrumentation, with a PhD in materials science and engineering from Northwestern University. He currently serves as CEO of Voxa, where he spearheads development of Voxa's novel automated and portable nanoscale imaging systems.

Lawrence Own, PhD

Lawrence has a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, and is the former Director of Education for HiveBio in Seattle where he developed tools and methodology to increase accessibility and exposure of life science processes to citizen scientists. He produces electrical designs and manages integrated systems for several of Voxa’s product lines.

Zachary Morales

Zach has a BS in Physics from Kalamazoo College. Zach handles production and components integration, and supports product integration for spaceflight applications. 

Randal Koene, PhD

Randal is a computational neuroscientist and pioneer in the field of brain emulation with degrees from McGill University, Delft University of Technology, and University of Amsterdam. He is a hands-on researcher and engineer, specializing in rapidly understanding technology problems and producing clear and rational applications solutions for Voxa. Randal is founder and continues to helm the research nonprofit Carboncopies Foundation.
