The Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program (TAEP) was established in 2005 to provide cost share dollars to agricultural producers for the purpose of making long-term investments in Tennessee farms and communities. Participation allows producers to maximize farm profits, adapt to changing market situations, improve operation safety, increase farm efficiency, and make a positive economic impact in their communities.
More than $267 million has been invested in 86,655 producer projects from 2005 through 2023. Each TAEP dollar generates $6.55 in local economies.
The annual application period is October 1-7, 2024. New application materials will be available mid-August 2024. Please note Hay Storage and Hay Equipment rotate each program year. Hay Storage will be offered in 2024-2025. Approval notifications are scheduled to be mailed mid-December. Program purchases can be made starting October 1, 2024 and must be completed by the program's final reimbursement request deadline. Participants are encouraged to make purchases and submit reimbursement requests in a timely manner to avoid processing delays at deadline time. Payments are based upon expenses for eligible program items.

2024 TAEP Application Period – Online Applications Only
TAEP will feature a fully online application process for the 2024 application period (October 1-7, 2024). The online only application system allows for greater efficiency in the application review process by ensuring all sections of the application are completed. Paper applications will no longer be available to submit.
- The online application will be available on the TAEP main webpage as a live link (no downloading required) during the application period.
- Applicants will need access to the internet, an electronic device (computers, laptops, and tablets are preferred over smartphones).
- Applicants will need a valid email address which is exclusive to the applicant and not utilized by other TAEP participants.
- Applicants who submit an online application will receive a confirmation email verifying receipt of the application.
