Times letters: Corbyn and the battle against antisemitism

Sir, As a Jew of British birth and parentage, I have often encountered antisemitism in various guises, not least in the legal profession, and am very sensitive to it. I have never met it in the Labour Party, though I have been an active member since 1952. Certainly there are antisemites in it as in other parties. Jeremy Corbyn is not one of them. Labour Party rules prohibit all racism but in recent years the disciplinary process has been inadequate. A report by Shami Chakrabarti, commissioned by the party itself and now implemented, has addressed its weaknesses. Labour was the prime mover in legislation against racial discrimination and the Human Rights Act.
