WORCESTER — Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito, a Shrewsbury native and resident, received the COVID-19 vaccine from Eileen Cynamon, RN, at the Worcester State University large-scale vaccination site on Friday.

Polito got her first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, and was one of 2,100 people to get vaccinated here Friday.

About 62,000 doses have been administered at the clinic inside the university's Wellness Center, which is a joint effort between St. Vincent Hospital, UMass Medical School, Commonwealth Medicine and Worcester State University.
