Former Rep. Anthony Brindisi has decided he won’t run for Congress next year, just months after he narrowly lost one of the closest House elections in the nation.

Brindisi, a Utica Democrat, lost to Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-New Hartford, by 109 votes in a disputed election that wasn’t decided until Feb. 8, three months after Election Day.
