Narcan is a medication that can be administered when someone experiences an overdose to save their life. The Behavioral Health Division has naloxone (Narcan) available for individuals at risk of overdose, family members, friends, businesses, and non-profits.

North Dakota has a law that protects individuals that seek help for someone experiencing an overdose and also for those that administer naloxone to reverse an overdose. For more information about these laws visit www.behavioralhealth.nd.gov/opioids.
