Morristown, N.J., (September 13, 2021) – Saint Elizabeth University (SEU) once again ranked first among all New Jersey schools on the U.S. News & World Report's 2022 list of "Top Performers for Social Mobility-Regional Universities North". This is the second year in a row the University has topped the list that includes all public and private institutions in the state. SEU ranks eighth among all 88 institutions regionwide.

The social mobility ranking measures the extent schools enrolled and graduated students who receive federal Pell grants, typically coming from households whose family incomes less than $50,000 annually. The ranking measures a college or university's ability to move students up the ladder in terms of economic opportunity and within or between social strata.

"Social mobility is a critical factor in measuring the future success of our students. More than 67 percent of our undergraduate students are Pell-eligible. Armed with the education, skills and resources SEU provides, these students often return to help and support their communities," said Gary B. Crosby, Ph.D., president of Saint Elizabeth University. "Social mobility benefits all involved, including the students, their communities, New Jersey and the nation."

SEU also ranked 114 out of 171 institutions on the overall "2022 Best Colleges" list for Regional Universities – North.

In addition, is among the top New Jersey private institutions on Washington Monthly’s recently announced "2021 Best Bang for the Buck Rankings: Northeast" list and Money magazine rates the University third among New Jersey private schools on its 2020 "Best Colleges in America, Ranked by Value" list.
