“A Parent’s Focus” Part II
“A Parent’s Focus” Part II
Greetings Family and Friends of College Park,
The focus of parenting is to positively shape your children’s behavior and to prepare them to live independently when they reach adulthood. Your number one goal as a parent in positively shaping your children’s behavior is to be a positive role model for your children. However, to be a positive role model, you need to be actively present in your children’s lives both emotionally and physically. You should be a positive parental example in the way you live and converse. Just as you learned from your parents by what they did more than by what they said, so will your children learn from you. Accept the parental responsibility to rear your children to be good citizens, ready for college and any career, and to teach them self-control. You will need to be healthy role models to develop healthy children. Healthy principles must be practiced by both parents. This means moms and dads are needed greatly. It is not enough for one of the parents to be a good example while the other lives selfishly. Positive or negative - they will learn from you. This should be a parent’s focus.
Attendance Matters
We have 115 students who have missed 10 or more days of school.
Parents, please make sure your child is academically engaged by actively participating in ongoing academic activities such as coming to school daily, logging into remote lessons, turning in assignments, and maintaining contact with classroom teachers.iReady Updates
