Plan Ahead for Summer! Online Workshops
Baldwin Wallace is excited to offer so many meaningful online professional development workshops geared to busy educators. Our Special Topic Educator PD is delivered throughout the year in a series of online workshops. The flex start allows teachers, or administrators, to register up to the tenth week of a semester (Sign up now through July 3, 2020) and to work at your own pace this summer to complete five engaging learning modules. Workshops run from June 1 through August 1, 2020
Meaningful / Affordable / Self-Paced
Each workshop is unique and will be facilitated by an MAEd expert in the field. At an affordable registration fee of just $195 (which includes 1 graduate credit per PD workshop), teachers are supported in their license renewals. Most importantly, the content is meaningful, relevant to today’s classrooms, and geared to promoting student success!

You can register for the Summer Workshops any time between now and July 3, 2020. Summer Workshops run from June 1- August 1st.
Do I need to complete the modules in 5 weeks? What if I need more time?
You can work at your own pace to complete the learning modules. This can be as short as a few weeks to as long as 8 weeks ~ depending on when you sign up. All summer activities would need to be completed by semester end ~ August 1, 2020.
Does the $195 include the price of 1 Graduate Credit?
Yes. You will receive a BW Transcript at semester end.
What is meant by graduate credit?
BW's Special Topic Educator Workshops offer graduate-level professional development credit and will be listed on a Baldwin Wallace University transcript. They are designed for salary advancement and to renew credentials. The courses are not designed towards the attainment of an advanced degree. Your district's professional development committee can provide you with additional information for how this fits into your IPDP and salary steps.
Can I take more than one workshop at a time?
Yes. You may take as many as you are interested in.
Is there support for a first-time online learner?
Yes. BW's Help Desk can assist you with technical questions ~ as can your instructors.
How are the workshops graded?
The workshops are pass/fail (S/U) Each workshop contains activities to total 100 points. You will need to earn at least 70% to successfully complete the workshop.
When will the next set of workshops be offered?
The Fall Workshop signups will begin in August.
Will there be any other topic offerings?
Yes. Look for new workshops throughout the year
Can I suggest a topic for a future workshop?
