Ski movie trailers seem to arrive earlier and earlier every year. This early arrival is great to get viewers stoked to go skiing earlier and earlier, just as long as they ignore the date on the calendar.
Matchstick Productions (MSP), based in Crested Butte, Colo., put out a trailer for “The Stomping Grounds” last week and it’s a real doozie. There are over two minutes of adrenaline-pumping ski action footage queued up with thumping electronic dance music. And there is lots of stomping.
Of course, with an athlete line-up that includes Sam Kuch, Connery Lundin, Logan Pehota, Mark Abma, Karl Fostvedt, Hedvig Wessel, McKenna Peterson, Tonje Kvivik, Tom Wallisch, Banks Gilberti, Collin Collins, Lucas Wachs, and a slew of other incredible professional skiers, there is definitely going to be a lot of stomping in “The Stomping Grounds.” We’re especially excited to see the return of longtime MSP star Rory Bushfield as well as mono-skier Jay Rawe in this year’s film.
