How we are making Monarchs matches safe for you

With the approval of the local health authorities and the USL, the Real Monarchs return to play on July 11th at Rio Tinto Stadium. The health of our fans, players, and staff is our top priority. In conjunction with the Utah Department of Health, we are implementing these protocols to ensure that the stadium environment is safe for everyone. Below is an overview of the fan guidelines to be followed while at Rio Tinto Stadium. We appreciate your support and cooperation in strictly complying with these safety guidelines. Introduction

  • Fans will be required to wear masks at all times - except while eating at their seats
  • Stadium seats and surfaces will be disinfected with virucidal spray before the event
  • Additional wall mounted hand sanitizer dispensers will be installed throughout the stadium
  • Seating location ties into match experience with designated:
    • Parking lot
    • Timed entry and entry gates
    • Concessions
    • Restrooms
    • Exit procedures and timing
  • 6’ markers will be placed on the ground/concourse at all location where fans might travel
    • Restrooms, concession stands, team store, stairways


Parking

  • Parking will be included in the cost of the tickets
  • Parking lots will be designated based on seat location - map included for seating locations and respective parking lots
  • Upon arrival, signs will alert fans to keep car windows closed and to display match ticket to the parking attendant
  • Signs and attendants will instruct fans to enter the stadium immediately
    • Tailgating is not permitted


Timed Entry

  • Timed entry will be designated based on seat location
    • The bottom half of each section will be invited to enter the stadium 60 minutes prior to kickoff
    • The top half of each section will be invited to enter the stadium 30 minutes prior to kickoff
    • Fans will be permitted to enter the stadium any time after their group is invited to enter


Entry Gates

  • Entry gates will be designated with specific correlation to fan seat location
  • East, South, and Northwest (Spanish Stairs) entries will be used for fans
  • West entry designated for ADA fans and media only
  • Ground placed markers will denote 6 feet distance between fans waiting in line
  • Lines spaced 7-10 feet apart
  • Strict clear or no bag policy so that security can maintain social distance


Ticket Scanning

  • Ticket scanning locations will have tables for phone placement to ensure social distancing
  • Guest services personnel will instruct guests to maintain 6-feet distance from the table so the ticket barcode on the phone can be scanned
  • The hand scanner will print a seat locator ticket and will be place on the table for fans to retrieve once the guest services member steps away


Concessions

  • Fans will be directed to utilize specific concessions stands
    • Designated with specific correlation to fan seat location
    • Lines will have predetermined maximum length with 6-foot distance markers to socially distance fans while waiting in line
    • Open stands will be Maverik, Hawaiian Header BBQ (utilizing the Royal Feast Menu), and Chili Verde
    • Open Carts will be Tap Works and Totally Nutz
    • To limit queuing, fans should be encouraged to avoid waiting until half time for purchases
  • Contactless Payment using Square will be utilized
    • Limited menu for faster processing
    • No cash accepted, utilizing credit cards to decrease the time for fans out of their seat


Restrooms

  • Restroom doors will be open and have a specified entrance and exit only
  • Restrooms will be designated with specific correlation to fan seat location


Seating & Seating Access

  • At each concourse aisle, there will be signage and ushers designated to direct fans to their seat location
  • While in their seats, fans are required to wear their mask, except while eating
  • To ensure social distancing is maintained at all times, the first 2 seats on the aisle will not have fans
  • Stairways will be designated for fans by seat location
  • Fans will travel to and from their seats through the same aisle, avoiding crossing over other fans


Exit Procedures and Timing

  • Messaging featured on video boards, PA, and staff instructing guests to leave in a predetermined order
  • The top rows of section will be released first, working down to the front rows
  • Fans will be directed by their section usher to determine when it is their turn to leave


Our plan is designed to minimize fan touchpoints and distance traveled within the stadium and prevents interaction with individuals from outside of households. We look forward to seeing you on July 11 at Rio Tinto Stadium!


Media Members

  • Media will enter and exit through the West entrance
  • Media will be placed 7-10 feet apart within the press box
  • Press conference room and back of house will not be open to media
  • On-field access will be designated strictly for photographers
  • No postgame in-person interviews will be facilitated
    • Interviews will be facilitated via Zoom
