The Virginia Employment Commission (VEC) offers resources for job seekers. VEC’s Virginia Workforce Connection is an online source to connect individuals with potential employers, search for jobs, and find training opportunities.

The Virginia Department of Social Services offers a number of different resources including 211 services. 211 provides information and referral for: food banks, shelters, rent or utility service; physical and mental health resources; work initiatives; support for seniors and those with disabilities; support for children, youth, and families; volunteer opportunities in the community; and disaster support services.

The Federal Bonding Program is an employer job-hire incentive that provides Federal Fidelity Bond insurance, issued free-of-charge, to employers and enables the delivery of bonding services as a unique job placement tool to assist person with prior criminal convictions.
