Highlights for Brokers at The Caribbean Charter Yacht Show

Timed to kick start the winter charter season, the inaugural Caribbean Charter Yacht Show founded by IGY Marinas and The International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA) is poised to be at the forefront of change.

Yacht shows are more than just a business generator - they are crucial for yachting professionals to demonstrate tangible knowledge. For far too long, yacht shows have forgotten that the story must grow and we must look beyond loyalty to develop the narrative.

IGY Marinas has therefore recognised and responded to the enormous opportunity to evolve the stagnated boat show model to provide a fresher format that commands attention and delivers value for all who participate.

From Thursday 9 through Sunday 12 December 2021, the Caribbean Charter Yacht Show will take place at Yacht Haven Grande, St. Thomas, U.S Virgin Islands with an exciting program and a few surprises in store.

IGY Marinas:  Developing Customer Relationships

IGY Marinas is the only global superyacht marina company in the world and a leading destination network for superyachts. Providing the highest standards of service across the Caribbean, Europe, Latin America and the United States, IGY Marinas welcomes over 10,000 vessels and approximately 100,000 customers each year with 4,000 total berths under management.

The motivation to launch the inaugural Caribbean Charter Yacht Show stems from IGY’s solid reputation for impeccable customer relationships, and the desire to stimulate and build commercial goodwill and facilitate networking.

With 50 yachts anticipated to attend, international charter brokers and exhibitors will have easy access to step aboard each vessel for a tour and to interact with the captains and crew.

Concurrently, a dynamic program includes a captains’ briefing and dinner, VIP experiences for brokers, and seminars on a range of hot topics including an update on Caribbean travel and cruising, expedition planning and high profile marine conservation projects.

Not forgetting the vital role of a yacht’s crew, as well as a chef and cocktail competition there will be fun leisure and learning activities for all departments and a CCYS crew party so crew members can let their hair down and have some fun at the close of a busy show.
