About New Familydog
New Familydog is Jon Blackdog’s Ridnell latest funk, jazz rock project. With he and his son Miles Ridnell on bass and vocals, they are performing various styles, including: funk, jazz, rock, blues, New Orlean's second-line, afro-beat, and many more. With one full length release Silverline, under their belt, their sophomore release will feature Dave Watts(Motet) on the drums. The band has grown in size to include a three-piece horn section. Familydog Stringband
Familydog Stringband, Jon and Miles Ridnell’s acoustic string-band act. Performing blue-grass, country, folk, and jazz, their first full length release, CALM, features Sally Van Meter, Dave Johnston (YMSB), and Jordan Ramsey. This group is know for their family style blue-grass harmonies.
Familydog Duo
Familydog Duo another Jon and Miles Ridnell project featuring up-right bass and acoustic guitar. This entity has a large repertoire of songs ranging in styles from blues, country, blue-grass, and bordering on classic rock.
