COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person was injured after a shooting in east Columbus.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 6:20 p.m., Tuesday, officers were called to the report of a shooting in the 1100 block of Barnett Road.
When officers arrived on scene, they found 19-year-old male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say the victim was in the parking lot of the Barnett Recreational Center when two unknown suspects exited their vehicle and attempted to take the victim’s property.
The victim left his vehicle, running away from the two suspects when one of them opened fire, striking the victim multiple times, according to police.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Police say he is expected to recover from his injuries.
