As a primary care provider that strives to provide the highest level of care to patients and families, The Wright Center for Community Health encourages patients to engage in a primary care office visit while receiving vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine. However, you have the option to choose to receive the COVID-19 vaccine only, should you wish to do so. During the office visit, a qualified health professional will address any primary health concerns you may have and will ask you questions about your health history, review your current medications and perform an assessment for potential allergic reactions, undiagnosed underlying medical conditions and other potential health issues. The cost of the actual COVID-19 vaccine distributed by the government is free. There is a standard COVID-19 vaccine administration fee which is covered by insurance plans. If you do not have insurance, there will be no cost to you for the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine. If you choose to have an office visit, you will be charged for the visit which will be billed to your health insurance provider. Depending on your health insurance plan, you may be required to pay an out-of-pocket expense such as a co-pay, co-insurance, and/or a deductible. We do not discriminate in our care based on ability to pay for services, and we have a sliding fee discount scale for eligible individuals. Please know we will never deny a health service based on inability to pay. This information can be shared with your own doctor if you wish. Please be advised a parent or guardian must accompany patients 17 years and younger to appointments. |
