the ride The RIDE

In light of the MBTA’s commitment to return the fixed route and Commuter Rail service back to pre-pandemic service levels, the RIDE will not be making the following planned changes:

  • Changing some RIDE ADA trips to premium trips, complementing the changes on fixed route service
  • Allowing RIDE trips to be scheduled up to 40 minutes from request time instead of the current 30 minutes
  • Adjusting premium service hours to complement changes to Commuter Rail hours of service

If any part of fixed route or commuter rail service changes in the future or during the service restoration process, the impact to the RIDE’s service area and hours will be evaluated and adjusted accordingly.
