The Keep Food Pantry at Luther Memorial Church serves students, staff, and faculty of University of Wisconsin-Madison, Edgewood College, and Madison College.
Brad’s responsibilities include head of staff, preaching, teaching, leading worship and coordinating weddings. He has been on staff at Luther Memorial since 2007. Brad and his wife Joy, a UW librarian, have two adult daughters.
John Worzala Dumke works in all areas of the congregation, particularly in family ministry. Currently John is serving part time at Lutheran Campus Ministry as their interim pastor and director. During this interim he will serve part time as Luther Memorial’s associate pastor. John and his wife Kirsten, a chaplain with UW Health, have three children.
Pastor Rebecca’s pastoral duties are primarily off-site, visiting members and especially those not able to come to worship. She simultaneously serves a congregation in Brooklyn and writes curricula and books for the ELCA’s publishing house. She and her husband Dave have two children.
Juan Carlos Cabrera was born in Jalisco, Mexico, and is the current pastor of Parroquia Santa María. He is currently studying at Wartburg Theological Seminary in the TEEM program, and his focus is serving the Latino congregation and strengthening the relationship between Luther Memorial and Latino ministry.
Suelyn works collectively with staff and laity to promote the mission of Luther Memorial, with emphasis on strategic planning, stewardship, communication and membership development. She has a background in graphic design and communication management and an MA in philanthropy and development.
Miso is Pastor Brad Pohlman’s dog. She is a poodle/Bernese mountain dog mix. Miso is responsible for greeting visitors in the church office, but she occasionally sleeps on the job.
Andrew’s responsibilities include playing organ for Sunday services, directing the children, youth and adult choirs, various instrumental ensembles and overseeing the general music ministry of the congregation. He has been at Luther Memorial since 2018. Andrew and his wife Jenny, a registered nurse, have one son.
Ken directs LM’s children’s choir. He also serves as music director at Wellspring United Methodist. He was previously Director of Worship and Music at St. Bernard Parish on Madison’s east side, and has served as president of the local chapter of Choristers Guild and dean of the local chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Ken holds a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary of New York.
