Bringing people, nature, and climate closer together to reduce poverty and tackle climate change.
About us
The Global Centre on Biodiversity for Climate (GCBC) is a UK Official Development Assistance programme that funds research and projects to address the growing threat of biodiversity loss and climate change. By working directly with scientists, academics, and research institutions, in developing countries, we develop scalable approaches to biodiversity conservation that reduce poverty and tackle climate change. The GCBC is funded by the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and managed in partnership with DAI and Royal Botanic Gardens Kew (RBG Kew).
