Liverpool Football Club is delighted to confirm the next exciting milestone in the ongoing growth of its women’s first team, with an agreement reached for a new home stadium from next season. LFC Women will play their home games at the St.Helens R.F.C. Stadium in Merseyside from the start of the 24/25 season. The club’s ambition is to play a number of fixtures also at Anfield. The new home is a huge positive step forward in the progress of the women’s team, with a brand-new high-performance Premier League standard pitch being laid, enhanced and exclusive use player facilities and an improved matchday experience for supporters. Sven-Goran Eriksson has paid tribute to fans who raised close to £1.2 million for LFC Foundation at March’s legends charity fundraiser at Anfield. The figure is the highest total ever raised for a single legends match, with 100 per cent of the funds going directly to the club’s official charity to support the work it does in the Liverpool City Region and beyond. This year’s game saw a host of former Reds take on AFC Ajax Legends in front of a sold-out Anfield, with almost 60,000 supporters attending – the event’s largest ever crowd. AXA joined the LFC partner family as the club’s Official Insurance Partner in 2018. Official travel partner Expedia Group presents a new short film ‘Thank you for getting us there’ with Liverpool FC Women. Featuring captain Niamh Fahey, Gemma Bonner and Mia Enderby, the trio thank their biggest supporters and detail why that support mattered for their own personal journeys to reach professional football. Manager Matt Beard also explains how football has changed during the last decade for young girls starting out. Also featured in the film are young aspiring footballers from LFC Foundation.
