Happy Earth Day! We are filled with immense pride and gratitude for our collective commitment to sustainability. At Little Kitchen Academy, care of environment is a key Montessori principle that is woven throughout our curriculum. We understand the importance of preserving our planet for future generations, and we are dedicated to making a positive impact through our sustainability initiatives. This Earth Day, we want to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible efforts of our team, students, and families in embracing environmentally friendly practices. From reducing food waste to sourcing local and organic ingredients, each action we take brings us closer to a more sustainable future. Here are just a few highlights of our sustainability initiatives: Local Sourcing: We prioritize sourcing ingredients from local farmers and producers, reducing carbon emissions associated with transportation and supporting our local communities. Compost and Recycling: We actively compost organic waste and encourage recycling to minimize our environmental footprint and divert waste from landfills. Our kitchen philosophy ensures that every ingredient is utilized to its fullest potential, minimizing food waste and promoting responsible consumption. Sustainable Partners: We embrace the circular economy outfitting our schools with a community table made of 33,436 recycled chopsticks from our global partner ChopValue and our chairs made with 111 recycled plastic bottles from global partner Emeco Industries Educational Outreach: Our curriculum includes lessons on sustainability, empowering our students with the knowledge and skills to make eco-conscious choices in their everyday lives. One Tree Planted is one of the charities included in our philanthropic program How Can I Help. We are continually inspired by the passion and dedication of our community in championing sustainability. Together, we are creating a brighter, greener future for our planet.
