Paris Pike Corridor Commission

Legislation

Pursuant to KRS 65.210

Bylaws

On May 27, 1993, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government joined with Bourbon County and the city of Paris in an inter-local agreement to establish the cooperative process of reconstructing Paris Pike in a manner that would preserve the roadway’s unique historic and scenic character. This agreement created the Paris Pike Corridor Commission, whose mission is to administer protection and preservation of the roadway. Since the reconstruction of Paris Pike is now completed, the Paris Pike Corridor Commission currently reviews various plans and requests for alterations to properties within the proposed historic district of the Corridor in Fayette and Bourbon Counties, with special emphasis on the area within 1,000 feet of both sides of the road, and makes recommendations to the appropriate entities.
