Apply for Leadership Tomorrow

 

Apply for our Flagship Program and join a cohort of 80 Puget Sound leaders from the private, nonprofit, and public sectors. Together you will explore the interconnected issues that shape our region, develop and practice strategies and tools to become more effective leaders, and expand your personal and professional networks.

By participating in LT, you will:

  • Build lasting, life-changing relationships with motivated leaders across industries and sectors.

  • Strengthen your connection to Puget Sound by learning about the interconnected challenges and opportunities that shape our region and work collectively to build a more equitable community.

  • Expand your leadership potential by exploring your strengths, building confidence, strengthening your voice, and envisioning how your leadership can directly impact the community.

  • Deepen and practice racial equity skills by learning how to identify and interrogate systemic inequities, and shape a future world that values belonging, collaboration, and human dignity.


Application Process and Timeline

  • February 2025: applications open.

  • February-March 2025: attend an information session to learn more about LT.

  • April 2025: online applications due before 5 p.m. Pay $100 application fee when you submit your application (email Megan to request a scholarship if the application fee is a barrier to participating).

  • April 2025: attend candidate orientation. Attendance is optional but recommended.

  • April-May 2025: participate in a 30-minute Zoom interview with three people from our all-volunteer selection committee. We interview all applicants.

  • June 2025: all candidates notified by email of their selection status.

What does LT look for in candidates?

Leadership Tomorrow seeks to build cohorts that represent diversity in industry, geography, demographics, and life experience. We look for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Commitment to community engagement.

  • Leadership in their area of influence.

  • Curiosity, openness to multiple viewpoints, and a desire to broaden their perspectives.

  • Willingness to work in a multiracial learning environment, engage with others at different stages in their learning journey, and deepen their personal role in advancing racial equity.

  • A strong interest in the curriculum and a willingness to learn and practice LT’s values.

  • Reasons for wanting to participate in the program beyond networking.

  • Application Deadline: April 2025

  • Program Dates: September 2025-June 2026.
