Ingredients

Pork, Water, Contains 2% Or Less: Corn Syrup, Salt, Natural Flavor, Vinegar, Pork Broth, Sugar.

Directions

Unspecified: Slice sausage roll into 1/2-inch patties at indicated marks. (For easier slicing place sausage in freezer for 10-15 minutes, before slicing). Place patties in a cold skillet. Cook over Medium heat for 14-16 minutes, turning sausage frequently for even browning, or until center of sausage patty reaches 160°F and is no longer pink.

    Something is noticeably different as of this year with the regular style Jimmy dean roll of sausage. When cooking on medium low heat it will burn a layer of black char on a non stick pan prompting me to buy a new non stick skillet with the very same results. I've always eaten this product and have always cooked it the same way. I know covid 19 has hurt so many companies and makes me wonder if something has changed via quality and consistency of the recipe within the this new year of 2022. Hope the needed corrections are made to once again enjoy a pleasant home cooked breakfast!

    My daughter is not a picky eater except for when it comes to breakfast sausage. She will eat no other brand except Jimmy Dean Regular Breakfast sausage. Once, when our grocery store ran out, I bought an alternate brand of sausage. My daughter took one bite, spit it out, and refused to eat it. Even though I hid the wrapper from her, she knew it wasn't her Jimmy Dean sausage. Even though she is now grown up, Jimmy Dean is the only brand we eat. It has become a tradition and a breakfast staple in our home. It's Jimmy Dean or nothing.
