With the total confirmed monkeypox/orthopoxvirus cases in the United States at 5,811, there are 397 of those cases in Texas. And in Houston/Harris County, 83 cases have been reported.

What we learned in our last segment is that the virus is not limited to one population or gender. And although the monkeypox virus has spread mostly among men who have sex with men, everyone is at risk.

Today, we discuss the latest on monkeypox, what you need to know, and resources available.
