End the Violence

I'm Henry Booker also known as "Sir Henry". On June 25, 2021, after my musical performance, I was in a devasting incident that almost caused me to lose my life. I was shot 5 times... In the neck, left hand (which I am left-handed), twice in the abdomen and in the chest by an unknown party right in front of my home where my mom (that I take care of) and my son (that's mildly autistic) were sleeping. All I remember is an ambulance was called and 3 days later I woke up in ICU at Regional One Hospital (The Med) with tubes in my nose, throat, mouth and chest. I was in the hospital for weeks and racked up all kind of medical bills and could not work because of this senseless act of violence. Since my release I've been thinking of ways to help promote nonviolence in the communities and cease the violence all over the country. So I've started the "Hood to Hood Recitals" to promote peace and positivity in urban neighborhoods by playing classical music and R&B hits. I started out just playing my keyboard alone and now I've incorporated other musicians to join me on this journey. The money that is given will not only help towards medical bills and my recovery but also help promote the "Hood to Hood Recitals".
