Help for our NA Brother.

Hello All, I am fundraising for emergency family assistance and travel for one of my dearest National Academy Graduate Brothers.  I really appreciate all your help.

To give you an intimate understanding of this endeavor, the following post is from our FBINA #275 classmate, Newark CA Police
Department, Captain Chomnan Loth, Field Operations Commander:

This is a short story about tenacity, determination, human perseverance, and the brother and sisterhood of the FBINA 275.

"On Monday, Aug 16th, Afghanistan fell to the control of the Taliban terrorists. Our classmate, an Afghanistan native, and prior Coalition Forces partner, sent his first text for help. He, his wife, and three small children were in hiding and were actively being hunted by the Taliban.

From his own words, "...the Taliban will absolutely kill me and my family." Immediately, FBINA 275 leveraged its connections and made contact with dozens of private and public agencies. All levels of government were contacted.

After five failed attempts to get our classmate and his family to HKIA, the last few days have been a rollercoaster of joy and despair and, at times, loss of hope.

A heartbreaking text from our classmate reenergized our determination to get him and his family out of Kabul.

From his own words, "Believe me, if we die, I will not regret it because I have friends who do not forget me. I never thought that my classmates would love me so much and sacrifice for me. I will never forget your efforts."

There is no chance FBINA 275 will give up on you. During the last several days, and with tremendous help from a member of 274 and a personal friend in a nearby agency, the class continues to leverage relationships with private contractors, state and federal agencies, as well as foreign governments, and the military. In addition, we continued to put pressure on our politicians on both sides of the isles.

It is with absolute joy to announce that our classmate and his family has been successfully evacuated from Kabul and will be on their way to an undisclosed location.

Taking a quote from one of our other international brothers, "You have proven that there is no challenge beyond the capabilities of this group. Khalid you have been a shining example of strength, determination, and patience. I will always be able to draw inspiration from your courage, strength, and humility during these hard times. And for the unbelievable work you all put in, the solutions and ideas and impossible tasks you were able to pull off- I am speechless."

I have never been more proud to be part of this group. I am truly humbled and amazed by the collective efforts of everyone to save our classmate and his family. We are, indeed, the world's strongest Law Enforcement Leadership Network."

Thank you Chomnan for encapsulating our love for our NA Brother and his family!
