HUNTERSVILLE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) — Two young woman have been arrested after police said they stole more than $1,500 worth of merchandise from Victoria’s Secret at the Birkdale Shopping Center. 

Police said they were called to the shopping center on Saturday, March 17 in reference to a reported larceny. While on their way, officers were advised that a group of young women left the store with items without paying. Huntersville officers were given a description of the vehicle. 

While police were approaching the shopping center, a similar call came in from Dick’s Sporting Goods. The suspects matched the description from the call at Victoria’s Secret. 

As officers arrived on scene at Dick’s Sporting Goods, they entered the store and subsequently placed five young women in custody for questioning. All five young women were escorted out of Dick’s Sporting Goods and brought to Victoria’s Secret where a witnesses could identify them. 

The Victoria’s Secret employee identified all five women as those who were inside the store. Only two, identified as Iesha Edward-Springs, 26, and Zsadella Burris, 17, were identified as the two young women who took merchandise without paying. 

The stolen merchandise from Victoria’s Secret was recovered, totaling just over $1,500. 

Edward-Springs was arrested for felony larceny and simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. Burris was arrested for felony larceny.
