Already taken the Emotionally Connect, Partner and Respond Suicide Prevention Training and looking for more in depth content to take your skills up several notches?
Mental Health First Aid teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use challenges. It is divided into three segments:
- Pre-work: self-paced online learning (90-120 min)
- Instructor-led training held on Teams videoconferencing that runs from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. (includes a 30 min. lunch break) Provides a deep dive into the content.
- Post-work: a final quiz and course evaluation
Participants will need access to a full desktop or laptop computer with webcam, speakers (or headset) and microphone.
For those wishing to become certified in Mental Health First Aid, you must complete the entire program.
