FISC Members will exchange views on taxation in a digitalised economy and the fight against tax evasion and aggressive tax planning with the Portuguese Committee on Budget and Finance on 17 March from 10.00 to 12.00.

Having in mind the FISC willingness to enhance the cooperation and interaction between the European Parliament and national Parliaments, this event is the first of a series of systematic discussion with National Parliaments holding the Council Presidency on their priorities related to taxation and ad hoc meetings with selected National Parliaments on topical issues according to the political agenda.

The Committee on Budget and Finance ("Comissão de Orçamento e Finanças") chaired by Mr Filipe Neto Brandão.

After an introductory statement by the two Chairs, a first session will provide the opportunity to representatives of political groups from both the Portuguese Parliament and the European Parliament to give their position on taxation in a digitalised economy and fight against tax evasion and aggressive tax planning.

A political debate with Q/A will then follow.
