Eden is a Canadian-born musical theatre and contemporary dance performer, choreographer, and pedagogue originally from Calgary, Alberta. She holds a BA Dance (with a concentration in Choreography and Performance) and a BA History from the University of Calgary, and an MFA in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University. Eden balances her time between teaching, performing, choreographing and directing. Currently, Eden is a Guest Instructor for the School of Dance and School of Theatre at Ohio University for the Spring 22 semester. Beginning Fall 2022, she will join Southeastern Missouri State University as the Instructor of Musical Theatre Dance and Choreography.

Eden has taught for multiple post-secondary institutions across North America including Ambrose University, the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University, San Diego State University, and Grossmont College. She has also choreographed for performing arts high schools, taught in both recreational and competitive dance studios, and oversaw the operations of StoryBook’s Theatre School program for three years prior to relocating to San Diego in 2018.

While in San Diego, Eden performed in the La Jolla Playhouse WOW Festival (PDA - directed by Jesca Prudencio), San Diego Repertory Theatre’s Latinx Festival (DREAM HOU$E - directed by Patrice Amon), and was the SDSU Audience Engagement Fellow for La Jolla Playhouse’s FLY (directed by Jeffrey Seller). She was also the associate director of Dog Sees God (directed by Katie Turner), assistant choreographed for Moonlight Stage Productions (Matilda - directed by Jamie Torcelini), taught for San Diego Musical Theatre’s summer intensive training programs, was the assistant choreographer to Jill Gorrie (The Little Mermaid), and taught multiple semesters of Voice and Movement, and Musical Theatre Dance at San Diego State University.

Eden is also the co-founder of EDJE Dance Theatre alongside Jocelyn Hoover Leiver - a company which combines the worlds of contemporary dance and theatre, using real-world material to create captivating and thought-provoking dance theatre. She was an Artist in Residence with renowned W&M Physical Theatre from 2016-2018 and has secured a Creative Residency with Decidedly Jazz Danceworks for the summer of 2022. Her academic scholarship can be found in Robert W. Schneider’s Fifty Key Stage Musicals (Routledge) and Joe Deer & Rocco Dal Vera’s Acting in Musical Theatre 3rd Ed.’s Online Teacher’s Resource Guide (Routledge).

Eden was set to hit the stage as SARAH WHITFIELD in the world premiere of ‘Til Death Do Us Part (Stephen Brotebeck), and as TESSA in TuYo Theatre’s production of DREAMHOU$E (Patrice Amon) - both of which were unfortunately cancelled due to Covid-19.
