Purpose

Our conference brings together leading Christian economists, M&E experts, and other key stakeholders to discuss evidence-based approaches to measuring program effectiveness.

  • Learn from leading Christian experts about opportunities to build an evidence base for measuring impact in faith-based global development and relief.

  • Discuss quantitative tools for measuring impact, when to use them, and how to build a research team.

  • Discuss benefits and challenges in statistical approaches to measuring intangibles such as spiritual well-being.

  • Network with data-minded Christians and researchers from other organizations.

Meet some of our speakers

  • Paul Niehaus

    Dr. Paul Niehaus

    Economist

    Paul cofounded of a series of companies working to amplify capital flows to emerging markets. He co-founded GiveDirectly, Segovia, Taptap; He is also the Chancellor's Associates Endowed Chair at UCSD. He holds a PhD in economics from Harvard University.

    Paul is based in San Diego.

  • Joy Bittner

    Entrepreneur

    Joy has spent the past 14 years leading NGOs and social businesses throughout Latin America.

    She recently incubated Vida Plena through Charity Entrepreneurship and is working to scale evidence-based depression treatment to the poor in Ecuador.

    Joy is based in Ecuador.

  • Dr. Lincoln Lau

    Researcher

    Lincoln is the director of research at International Care Ministries. He is also Assistant Professor (Status) at the University of Toronto. He holds a PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from the University of Hong Kong.

    Lincoln is based in Toronto.
