Our Mission
Our mission is to educate, commemorate, and encourage public interest in the American Civil War.
Welcome

Join us at our regular bi-monthly meetings which feature authors and other recognized experts who present on all subjects related to the Civil War;

Register for one of our annual field trips to destinations relevant to all periods of American History but with a primary emphasis on the Civil War;

Volunteer to assist with Campus Martius Museum's Annual Civil War Day that introduces 8th graders from throughout Washington County, Ohio, and, Wood County, West Virginia, to living-history demonstrations related to the Civil War;

Support our Historical Marker Projects that honor the sacrifices made by patriots with close associations with Southeastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia to both causes in the conflict.
Broad member involvement is welcomed and encouraged at all events as well as through participation as an officer, board and committee member, and other volunteer roles. Everyone from novice to expert is welcomed....most importantly, a special welcome is extended to all students!
Regular Meetings
Six regular meetings are conducted annually. Meetings for March, July and September will be held in Marietta. Beginning @ 7:00 p.m. on the Third Thursday of those months @ St. Luke's Episcopal Church Hall, 230 Second Street in Marietta, OH 45750. Meetings for May and September will be held in Parkersburg. Beginning @ 7:00 p.m. on the Third Wednesday of those months @ The Actors Guild, 724 Market Street Parkersburg, WV 26101. We do this to provide a Mid-Ohio Valley experience for our members and guests. See our Calendar of Events for the presentation title and location of each regular meeting. Meetings are open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
