Administration of this program is a collaborative effort between the City of Galesburg and the Stewardship Team of Galesburg on Track.

The Community Blue Ribbon Award Program was created to recognize owners of residential properties, within the City of Galesburg, for their efforts to improve our community’s appearance. Improvements can be functional or aesthetic in nature and should promote a positive overall image of the neighborhood. Examples include new landscaping, painting, or general cleanup.

Galesburg has seven wards, each represented by a Council member. The awards will be rotated through each of the seven city wards and announced by that ward’s Council member during closing comments at the first City Council meeting of the month. A media release will follow the council announcement. 

Applications should be submitted to the City of Galesburg's Community Development Department. Forms may be submitted electronically by completing the application below, or by mail or email according to the instructions on the nomination form located in The Community Development's Document Center. Applications will then be reviewed by the Galesburg on Track Stewardship Team. Award recipients will be notified and have a Blue Ribbon sign and Heart & Soul town image banner placed at their property.
