Phil Brewster

Mr. Brewster has a passion for his work and thrives in complexity. He represents clients in False Claims Act matters, SEC/CFTC referrals and federal investigations. He has extensive experience in qui tam actions, SEC Office of the Whistleblower referrals, Commodity Futures Trading Commission referrals and UK Serious Fraud Office referrals and representing clients in complex investigations.

Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Brewster served as corporate counsel to Optasia Medical, Ltd., a U.K.-based medical device company; North American corporate counsel to Brainlab AG, a German medical device company; and in-house counsel at Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc., a publicly-traded U.S. electronic health records company. Mr. Brewster’s law firm experience includes associate positions at McGuireWoods LLP and Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP.

Mr. Brewster is a graduate of Boston College Law School (2003) and Syracuse University, B.A. history, summa cum laude (1999). He is licensed in Illinois and Massachusetts and admitted to the United States District Courts for Northern Illinois, Central Illinois, District of Columbia and Massachusetts.

In his personal time, Mr. Brewster trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and enjoys fly fishing and hunting throughout America including in Alaska, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, New Mexico and Wyoming. He is a devoted English Labrador Retriever owner.
