Another opportunity to highlight National Voluntee

Another opportunity to highlight National Volunteer Month here in Billings! On April 27th, our friends at Bright n Beautiful are celebrating the Great American Cleanup. They have already activated numerous groups interested in cleaning up their neighborhood and even their local park! If you are interested in participating with a group, please reach out to them.

Additional information can be found at justserve.org for location opportunities, if you don't have a group of your own!

🌞🌱 Spring is springing all around and has us excited to get out in the garden! 🌞🌱 Join us this season at Amend Community Garden. We have plot sizes for families, individuals, and elevated beds for easier gardening. Learning opportunities and support for gardeners of all ability levels!

If you're interested in learning more about community gardens, please join us at the Billings Public Library on Saturday at 10am for more information community gardens in Billings!

We want to take some time to celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Month here at Parks & Rec! In 2023, our volunteer hours were equivalent to a full-time employee working 3.5 hours of overtime every week - with NO vacations and NO sick days. We are looking forward to more great volunteers and exciting new ventures in 2024 - you all are so great, and we can't do it without you!

We want to highlight an upcoming volunteer project at Boothill Cemetery! There will be a trail cleanup on April 20th from 8am to 10am meeting at Boothill Cemetery (Aronson/Swords) parking lot and heading out Alkali Creek. If you are interested in volunteering with this group, please get in touch at millironj@billingsmt.gov. Thanks for all your support!

New program alert! We will be offering an introductory course on speech and language development designed specifically for parents and caregivers of young children, ages birth to 5. Grow your understanding of typical speech and language milestones and learn simple strategies to promote communication skills, with a licensed pathologist!

This course consists of 3 sessions, Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm (May 1, 8, 15) at Billings Community & Senior Center. Click through to our website to register!
