Mildred's Obituary
MILDRED ANN SINK, 61, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. She was born October 5, 1961, in Rocky Mount, VA, the daughter of the late Andrew & Shirley Sink.
Mildred achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from Radford University. She worked as a nanny for 12 years, as a guide at the Colonial Jamestown Museum for many years and most recently, she was a night supervisor in the Library at William & Mary University. She loved books and loved all children. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and made many beautiful quits that she shared with her family.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Hezekiah & Shirley Ann Dalton Sink, and her paternal grandparents which she was very close with, Harden Butler & Cora Lee Hall Sink.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Cecil Wayne Sink & Crissy Blankenship, Bryan Keith Sink and Marsha Eileen Kornegay; her niece and nephews, Alys Nicole Sink, Nicholas Coleman Sink and Jordan Isaiah Sink; a special aunt & uncle, Robert & Marie Dalton and their children, Gregory Dalton and Steven Dalton; two very special twins she had as a nanny, Christopher McKenzie and Ian McKenzie; and several special friends.
Per her wishes, Mildred will be cremated and her family plans a special memorial at a later date.
