Provides gentle compression that helps relieve thumb discomfort associated with CMC joint arthritis and/or instability, tendinitis or repetitive motion. Contoured neoprene strap wraps around the thumb CMC joint and the first metacarpal for direct CMC joint support. Plus sizes are a half size bigger in the hand and a full size larger in thumb circumference to accommodate enlarged thumb conditions. Pediatric sizes are available in black.

After you come out of you cast, you wear a hard splint for a couple of weeks then they make you buy a comfort cool from them($50) or you can get this at Amazon for around $30. I purchased one from them for my last surgery and I still regret that. This one is affordable on Amazon and is recommended by my surgical team.

Even though I thought I read product specs, I did not know that the + sizes are for "fat fingers" .... so I bought a medium + based upon how I measured my hand "width" alone and that fits great except the thumb sleeve is extra loose bc I don't have big, beefy fingers 🙃.
