Robert “Bob” Fletcher Arritt is a native of Fayetteville, West Virginia and graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1996. While at Fayetteville, he participated in football, track and wrestling. Arritt had an outstanding high school football career where he was selected for the first team WVSSAC Class A All-State in 1995. He was on numerous football honor teams, including multiple newspaper and all-conference teams for the 1994 and 1995 football seasons.

Arritt attended WVU Tech from 1996 to 2000 where he was a standout linebacker for the Golden Bears. He was a four-year letterman at Tech (1996-1999). He received many honors during his time at Tech, including 2nd Team WVIAC All-Conference Football (1997), All-WVIAC Honorable Mention (1999), and WVIAC Senior Scholar-Athlete Award (2000). He was a 1999 WVU Tech Football team co-captain.

Many of Arritt’s successes have been off the football field. He graduated from WVU Tech in Electrical Engineering with magna cum laude honors and was a member of Eta Kappa Nu, the Electrical Engineering Honor Society. Professionally, he is a Technical Executive at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) in Knoxville, Tennessee. He has authored dozens of published technical papers and received many professional awards and patents for his contributions to the industry.

Arritt is very active in his community. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Paideia Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee. Arritt has been a member of the Tech Golden Bear Athletic Club and recognized as part of the Golden Bear Athletic Club’s President’s Club for his support of Golden Bear Athletics.

His wife, Rochelle, is also a 2000 graduate of WVU Tech. Bob and Rochelle have been married for 22 years and live in Knoxville, Tennessee, with their three daughters, Elisabeth, Abigail and Anna Leigh.
