This meeting was open to the public was held at Maynard Baptist Church in Forsyth, and had the largest turnout of any so far.

According to Mike Pless who is a Juliette resident, Georgia Power has proposed sealing the coal ash pond, but many citizens in Juliette want a liner on the bottom of the pond to completely stop the toxic coal ash from entering their city.

Angela Goolsby, along with a group of Juliette residents met with Georgia Power representatives in a private meeting last Thursday to speak about the coal ash issue.

"So in the meeting Georgia Power admitted with their closure plans, that would leave the toxic ash in contact with the aquifer and EPD stated that would meet their standards," says Goolsby.

House Bill 756, which is a bill that can be beneficial to the coal ash problem in Juliette has Monroe County Chairman Greg Tapley on board. But he still thinks more has to be done. And from their the water to clean up it's going to take more years after that".

If this house bill is passed it will go into affect in August.
