RTI International Names Jorge Elguera Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. —Jorge Elguera has been named executive vice president and chief information officer at RTI International.

“Jorge is the strategic technology leader needed to guide RTI’s ongoing digital transformation,” said current RTI President and CEO Wayne Holden. “He is an important addition to the RTI executive leadership team who will help set the course for future digital innovation at the institute.”

“Jorge will be a strong addition to our executive leadership team as we drive ahead on our digital transformation efforts, and the entire team is looking forward to welcoming him to RTI,” said Tim Gabel, RTI’s incoming President and CEO.

Elguera joins RTI from Abt Associates, Inc. where he most recently served as Chief Digital Officer and Chief Information Officer. An executive leader who has more than 15 years of direct experience serving as a CIO, Elguera has a proven record of collaboration to align business, organizational, technology and digital strategy at organizations with a strong mission focus. He brings to RTI deep knowledge of working with the federal government at a research-focused, mission-driven organization.

“I am thrilled to join RTI's leadership team at an exciting time in the institute's growth and look forward to leveraging my past experience as a technologist to support RTI’s mission. I can’t think of a better company to join to have the chance to leverage digital approaches to produce positive impacts on people and communities around the world,” said Elguera.

Elguera holds a Master of Business Administration in global leadership from University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Universidad de Buenos Aires. He is a sought-after speaker and presenter in both the technology space and the education industry.
