Celebrating the storied careers of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame’s newest inductees
Since its first induction class in 1972, the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame has carried the torch as the official state Hall of Fame for Virginia. It has served its mission of honoring athletic excellence in the Commonwealth through the induction of 334 deserving athletes, coaches, and contributors from all corners of Virginia. 2022 Induction Weekend will see the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame welcome a new group of inductees into the Hall of Honor. The Hall is planning multiple events that will provide engagement and exposure opportunities for sports fans and our corporate partners. Our goal is to provide a weekend celebration worthy of the Hall and its inductees. Scheduled events include:
- Saturday April 30; Breakfast With Champions, family-oriented, meet & greet, autograph session for new inductees. Westin Hotel, 9 a.m.
- Saturday April 30; VIP Reception & Induction Ceremony at the Westin Hotel, 5:30 p.m.
As the largest annual event, Induction Weekend offers the Hall and its partners countless opportunities for exposure through on-site engagement at weekend events, to marketing and promotional outreach in the lead-up to the weekend. With another strong class of inductees, the eyes of Virginia sports fans will be on Town Center of Virginia Beach April 30, 2022.

2022 INDUCTION WEEKEND EVENTS
Breakfast with Champions – 9 a.m.
- Tickets $15.00 per person
- Wake up with the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame’s incoming inductees, at Breakfast with Champions. Event features a breakfast buffet, Q&A with the class, and an autograph session. Attendees are permitted to bring no more than 2 personal items for autographs. The Hall will also provide each attendee an autograph sheet featuring each inductee.
- Casual attire
VIP Reception & 2022 Induction Ceremony – 5:30 p.m.
- Tickets $50.00 per person
- Meet and mingle with inductees past and present, and then join the Hall of Fame as we formally welcome a new class of inductees into the Hall of Honor
- Heavy hors d’oeuvres and open bar included
- Business attire
